Every year I get dozens of requests for “one good picture for our Christmas Cards”. So this year I decided to give you what you asked for! We offered 5, 10 and 20 minute sessions and scored some amazing images!! We hope your family and friends enjoyed your beautiful christmas card photos as much as we enjoyed capturing them!
One of my most treasured traditions is meeting up with the Z family for the annual family portrait session. This year we had a HECK of a time scheduling our session..between hurricanes, new jobs, conflicting schedules and just life in general. I am so thankful we were able to find a date that wasn’t wet, windy or busy to update their pics. They did an awesome job adding color to their wardrobe and as always stayed their session. You can view their entire gallery here.
While we were all together we snuck in some Captain America themed milestone pics of little man..who is FOUR. I cannot believe that he is really four. I think he was four DAYS old the first time I photographed him. Sighhhhh, where has the time gone?
A little throw back to make you sniffle…..
It is hard to believe that these cutie pies are already 7 months old! It feels like yesterday I was planning their newborn session.
We planned for milestone and family pictures at another location and circumstances made it necessary for us to reschedule.
On the date of our rescheduled session it was raining! So we went ahead and photographed their milestone images in the studio. The twins rocked their shoot! FYI! That bear kiss….ohhhh my heart!
Then we would shot over to the park and grab a few family pictures. I wasn’t sure we were going to get a break in the rain but we decided to head there anyway…since everyone was already here and dresses. Just as we arrived the rain let up long enough for us to get a great family shots for them. We were also able to get a stunning 4 generations shot!
I think you will all agree that this family is pretty adorable!
Be sure to show them some love! You can view their galleries here —-> Milestone Session & Family Session

In the early part of the summer this lovely family contacted me about taking their family pictures. After some chatting and planning we landed on the perfect location, the beach! Well if you are from Florida or have ever been here in the summer you know what happens every afternoon….Thunderstorms. Leading up to our session date we had a really long patch of dry days so I thought for sure we were golden…and then on the afternoon of our session, the radar blew up with storms.
So we reschedule for 2 weeks later…dun dun dunnnn. Rain again.
Soooo we selected another date and as we were getting into the car to head to the beach wouldn’t you know, it started pouring!!
At this point we were either going to have to choose another location that could be photographed earlier in the day, reschedule to the fall when the storms are less frequent or go in the morning. At. Sunrise. Can I just mention to you that I am not a morning person. Like, I don’t mean that I like to sleep…like my brain doesn’t operate unless there is daylight. So I tell you this to illustrate to you my desire to give this family perfect pictures. I sacrificed sleep y’all..and drank 3 Diet Dr. Peppers on the way to the beach.
Sometimes it becomes necessary to step out of your comfort zone and do something new. I am so glad I got over the early alarm clock and forced myself to venture to the beach in the wee hours of the morning. Not only did we get a gorgeous sunrise, but they killed it! I mean look at all of these stunning images! This is just a sampling…you can view their entire gallery here.

I could photograph this family ALL DAY LONG! They are so sweet and seriously so easy to work with. The greatest compliment you can give a photographer is to continue to come back and support their business. I have had the pleasure of photographing many life events and sessions for them, I am always glad to see them again. Even if those rotten kids keep growing! Grumble!! I kid, I kid. But seriously, with the growing, can we not?!?
Can we talk about these sunflowers…how beautiful! I cannot wait until they bloom again. If you missed out, no worries, I know of a place that will have them this fall. Yippee!

Military life isn’t for the weak. Deployment sucks. The days feel like years. It is truly one of the hardest thing a family can go through, something only those who have experienced can understand.
You wear your bravest face because you’re walking a fine line between keeping it together and breaking down. You worry every moment of every day. You live for the next phone call or care package, because sometimes it is enough to keep you going….it means they’re alright.
Then one day you get a call “I am coming home!” ….all thoes months of care packages and FaceTime are finished. You finally get to make your life complete again.
How your heart beats so hard the moment you see them for the first time in months…and the incredible love when you finally get that first hug and kiss. Experiencing an reunion of a family that has sacrificed so many days and months apart is something truly moving. I can still hear little man screaming “DaddyyyyY!” when he saw his Daddy and realized just why we were at the airport to begin with.
The run to each other seemed like it was in slow motion. The people around them melted away and then, just like that, all was right in the world. This little guy had his BFF back!

Ok, Come on! Stop the cuteness!
I have known Miss Penny’s family since her big brother was just 3 months old. I enjoyed following his growth with milestone sessions and was SUPER excited to learn that he was going to be a BIG BROTHER!
I truly love each and every one of my clients and this sweet family is no exception.
When styling her session, Penny’s mom said the words all newborn photographer live to hear…”I love everything you do, I trust you.”
Now don’t get me wrong , I love Pinterest, but no creative soul wants a board full of “must haves”. I don’t mind the occasional “inspiration” but Pinterest almost stifles my creativity.
I LIVE to create beautiful, unique art for each and every one of my clients. Thank you all for always supporting me and allowing me to make your and my visions come true in your images!
